The cranes now hoisting giant wind-turbine blades between Williams and the Grand Canyon represent a victory for renewable-energy advocates and a defeat for nearby residents who fear for their property values.

The debate foreshadows others on the horizon as utilities rapidly increase the amount of energy they get from renewable sources such as solar and wind, and as those projects encroach farther on people in rural areas. More.....
