We welcome two new websites.
The one that would be of interest to those who are exploring the possibility of the installation of a wind power facility should surf this site and read carefully:
Also
The intense research that a community has put into this website is commendable and well worth the tour.
Relevant Carl Sagan Quotes to Ponder
Electrical Energy Science & You (John Droz, jr.) "People don't grasp the problem with windmills until it's their backyard so I put some windmills in famous places that everybody recognizes." NIMBY
The nation should prove to us that we should make the sacrifice they are
asking by putting windmills in the Grand Canyon, Yosemite, Yellowstone,
Teton Valley, Central Park, the National Mall, San Francisco Bay, etc.
There's no difference between those places and our community. Perhaps
the national parks are the best choice because nobody lives there.
Updates on Wind Energy is so overwhelming it's very hard to keep up. Recently there has been many World Press articles involving corruption and a cover up of information here in the States and abroad.. Our local newspapers seem to to be unaware, thus no coverage. I found that the Wind Action Group is the most up to date, they continually access world news and Post their findings everyday. There is so much information on this website and the links connected to it. It would not be possible to prioritize which is the best or even remotely advise what is more applicable to the issues connected to wind energy. But I must admit that there are some real eye catchers. The Thumb Power Website has been on line for quite a while and the information is probably some of the best reading I’ve come across. The easement contracts offered by the various developers are without a doubt candy to anyone with a sweet tooth. The pie in the ski presentation would make anyone jump at the opportunity to buy into their offer, especially if the offer is made by personally by the broker-developer. Enough said read on and be your own judge. I would like to add the Wind Turbine Testimonies from Michigan's Thumb for the blogs submmitted from local residents. The latest is one from a resident who made comments at the November 23rd, 2009 MPSC hearing in Lansing.
